Wow. What a fantastic place to stay! We were in awe from the moment we walked into the beautiful tower house. The sunset views over the sea from the garden whilst eating dinner were also spectacular.
The house was pristine and so well equipped.
The host and housekeeper were also fantastic, with Lesley going the extra mile when we’d left items behind.
We were a group of 6 adults and 3 babies and found the house had bundles of space for us all, the area was quite hilly but definitely worth it for the incredible sea view from each room.
We would highly recommend and would definitely book to come here again.

Staying at the Vane Tower Penthouse was nothing short of magical. I spent a week there in late July 2025, and from the moment I walked in, I felt completely at home. The space is beautifully decorated—warm, elegant, and full of character. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. But what truly took my breath away were the views. Waking up each morning to the sweeping panorama of the bay felt like a dream. It’s rare to find a place that feels both luxurious and deeply comforting, but this one manages both. I already can’t wait to return.

Don’t miss out, if you are visiting the English countryside this property is a must visit Incredible property with breathtaking views of the bay and each room designed so tastefully. Spent many hours in the sun room overlooking the bay. Had the best sleep ever. Very centrally located and just a few steps from all the restaurants and other nearby towns and villages. We booked the entire house which included the tower as well which made our stay magical. If you are visiting the countryside in Devon the vane tower will take your vacation to different level. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and prompt. Nico is fantastic. Will definitely visit again and thank you for sharing your iconic home and tower with the rest of the world

We enjoyed our stay at Vane Lookout very much - in fact we did not know which window to look from first as the views were amazing! We liked the privacy of the place with its separate entrance from the side which worked well for our family. We had to work during our stay as well but the internet connection was very good. Kitchen was well equipped for everyday cooking and we enjoyed having meals in the kitchen as well overlooking the harbour.

5 out of 5, what a lovely place. Spotlessly clean, towels and bedding, absolutely first class, beds really comfortable too. The wine left for us was great. Very much enjoyed. Lots of hot water and good showers. The hairdryer was a nice touch. Well stocked kitchen, loads of utensils, and the lovely big mugs were particularly appreciated

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Vane Tower! The house is even more stunning in person than in the photos, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the whole place was spotless. We appreciated all the amenities provided, and the fresh scones and cream on arrival were a lovely, welcoming touch.
We stayed here for a family reunion, and the house truly had everything we needed to make our time together perfect.

Wow what an amazing property! From the second we arrived we were blown away by the sheer size of this place - it’s immense! Everything was immaculate and as described. The views from the tower are fantastic! The house was warm and welcoming and very well equipped even down to milk froth ears and smoothie makers. My grandchildren were so excited to stay in a real mansion house - it was like a dream come true.

The most spectacular property with far reaching sea and harbour views like no other in the area. An historical building full of character. Tastefully decorated with interesting artwork, modern comfortable furniture and little additions that we liked, especially the throws and cushions. We didn’t want to leave and with the owners every success.
